Attention All Timbit Families!!! This program MUST be completed by October 31, 2010. This is a FREE ONLINE program that one member of your household must complete. If you have already registered for McKnight Hockey no time than the present to get started (and finished!) ~ dont forget to print out your certificate at the end!!! Hockey Calgary's "Respect in Sport" ProgramHockey Calgary, the largest hockey association in Alberta, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Respect in Sport, Canada's only online certification program dedicated to protecting our youth and enhancing an organization's mandate for a safe, fun and respectful environment. It is now confirmed that all players within the Hockey Calgary program, will have to have at least one member in his/her family complete the Respect in Sport program for the 2010/2011 season. In order to ensure that your player gets the most out of the upcoming season, please follow the link to complete the program prior to the commencment of the season. Welcome to the 2010/2011 Hockey Season!!!
My name is Chelsey Fisher, and I am honored and excited to have been selected by the McKnight Hockey Association to be the Jr Timbits Coordinator for this season.
I have been part of the McKnight Hockey Association since 2008, when my oldest son, Tyrone (now 13) started playing hockey in the Pee Wee Division. Sadly, after two years he has decided that he wants to explore other interests than hockey, but we continue to support his love for the sport. During the time he played I was involved with his teams as the "Auction Coordinator" for each and in the 2009/2010 season also as a Co-Coordinator for a hosted Tournament. I enjoyed the people I met and the involvement I had with the organization.
Looking forward to the 2010/2011, my youngest child, Jorja is now finally Hockey age and is registered to play her first season of hockey as a Jr. Timbit player. As the honorary "team mascot" rink rat for her older brother's teams over the last couple of years, she has grown her own love fo the game and tells me all the time that "she wants to play more than anything else". It is her enthusiasm and love of the sport that has inspired me to become more involved with the McKnight Hockey Association.
I hope that this season can be successful for all of our new players and that they each grow and learn new skills and meet new friends. Above all I hope that the kids achieve the First goal of Having Fun!

Update August 24, 2010 ~ The Timbits Season is expected to commence the week of September 20th!!! Details on ice times will be listed on the site as soon as available, however parents will be contacted directly as well!!!!
